On June, 1 the Fungicide Resistance Action Committee (FRAC) updated its mode of action (MoA) code list for several active ingredients.
For example, some substances’ MoA like the extract from Melaleuca alternifolia (tea tree oil) and such plant oils as eugenol, geraniol and thymol, were reclassified from code 46 to code BM01:
- MoA Code 46 stands for “lipid synthesis or transport/membrane integrity or function-cell membrane disruption”, whereas MoA Code BM01 stands for “Biologicals with multiple modes of action”.
Other chemicals involved in this update were cyclobutrifluram, dichlobentiazox and Amobam.
Homologa® tracks and constantly updates modes of action for every active ingredient registered worldwide. This data helps farmers and other users to spot the best suited crop protection solution that could be adapted into any integrated pest management (IPM) strategy.
Up-to-date MoA along with other relevant data such as emergency authorizations, MRLs, private standards, etc. makes Homologa® a one-stop-shop solution.
